Terms of use (summary) — read the full terms

• You are authorised to act for the organisation, and the details you give are accurate.
• We verify every organisation, usually within 3 business days. Until then your page shows Pending verification. We may ask for documents, and pages we can’t verify are removed.
• You are responsible for what your organisation posts. Events and opportunities must link to genuine registration or application pages, and publications must be real papers (DOI or arXiv).
• Opportunities must say whether they are paid, follow the employment and internship laws where they take place, and be open to everyone regardless of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, disability or marital status. Members can report content that doesn’t.
• Students are not UniConnect users. Share a student’s details only in a referral that the student (and a parent or guardian for under-18s) has agreed to.
• We may suspend a page that breaks these terms or the law.

Privacy notice — read the full privacy policy

• What we collect: your organisation’s details, and your name, job title, work email and phone.
• Why: to create and verify your account and page, and so that partner organisations can reach you (to provide the service you asked for, and our legitimate interest in keeping the network genuine).
• Who sees what: your organisation’s page is visible to members. Your phone number, company registration number and verification notes are private.
• How long: while your account is open; deleted within 30 days after you close it, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
• Your rights: you can access, correct, export or delete your data (Settings → Your data), object to its use, and complain to your data-protection authority (for example under the GDPR, India’s DPDP Act, Singapore’s PDPA or California’s CCPA).
• Students’ details: schools share them only with recorded consent (a parent or guardian for under-18s), and they are deleted 12 months after the university’s decision.
• Transfers: your data may be processed outside your country, with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
